​Are you interested in learning more about preserving food? Can, Dry, Freeze will provide you with everything you need to begin producing your own shelf stable and freezer ready food items.
This project kit includes: Food Preservation Books, Food Grade Storage Bags, Souper Cube Freezer Molds, Ball Mason Jars, Pectin, Pickle Crisp, Canning Pot/Tools, Electric Canner, Herb Drying Rack, and Herb Harvesting Tools.
Selected participants will receive email notification regarding program requirements - please check spam and junk folders for this communication. This kit will ship directly to your address in several shipments.
Participant must have access to fresh food items such as herbs, vegetables, fruit, etc. to complete program.

​Eligibility Requirements: Open to all Michigan Youth age 10 to 24 interested in food preservation. There are no demographic requirements for this program - rural, urban and suburban areas are welcome to apply. Preference will be given to participants with modest annual family income. Participants MUST reside in Michigan full-time.

Application Materials: Applying for a Minor? Provide a copy of a parent/guardian's driver's license or state ID AND provide a report card. (Homeschoolers provide an alternate identifying document for participant.)
Applying as an Adult Youth? Provide a copy of your driver's license, state ID or college ID.
